Transition from ballasted track to slab track

• Introduction
• Run the example runf/ballasted2slab_v160.tsimf
• Animate the results in postprocessor GLPLOT

Introduction

A four-axle vehicle runs over a still standing track, i.e. all sleepers belongs to an Euler coordinate system of type e_fix. The rails are modeled with the beam_3-element.

Run the examples

• Double-click file runf/ballasted2slab_v160.tsimf and select open->run with the right mouse button. The file starts a simulation with a vehicle speed of 160 [km/h].
• As output the following files will be produced:

  id/ballasted2slab_v160.id	MPdat-file for plotting in MPLOT
  gp/ballasted2slab_v160.gp	GPdat-file for animation in GPLOT and GLPLOT

Animate the results in postprocessor GLPLOT

• Double-click file runf/ballasted2slab_v160.tsimf
• Press the Glplot-pushbutton.
• Open file gp/ballasted2slab_v160.gp by selecting File->read_GPdat in the pulldown menu bar
• Start the animation by pressing the ->–pushbutton
