Gensys.2307

Download and installation in Virtual Machine Gensys.2301

Rel.2307 is an upgrade package based on Rel.2301.

Before downloading and installing this release, Rel.2301 must already exist on your computer.

Installation of Rel.2307 is made according to:

1. Create directory "/opt/gensys/gensys-2307" by writing:
   mkdir -p /opt/gensys/gensys-2307
2. To directory "/opt/gensys/gensys-2307", download file:
   gensys-2307.txz
   If you have problems with downloading the file.
   Please check the following:
   • Make sure that no firewall prevents you from downloading files from the Internet.
   • Try different web-browsers, including modern versions of Firefox and Chrome.
3. If the file has been successfully downloaded:
   The size of file gensys-2307.txz should be 122451468.
   The sha256sum message digest can be evaluated with the command:
   sha256sum gensys-2307.txz
   The output from the command should be:
   ef0d2845f5224042206e3c63eb59fc01b368ed50ec3d92d1f7c924a8e2f7f71c gensys-2307.txz
4. Go to directory "/opt/gensys/gensys-2307" and uncompress the tarball:
   tar -xJvkp --file=gensys-2307.txz
5. Copy the license file from gensys-2301:
   copy -ip /opt/gensys/gensys-2301/bin/gen_processor_ID_check /opt/gensys/gensys-2307/bin
6. Open the following four files for editing:
   

   op ~/.profile_gensys
   op ~/.octaverc
   op ~/Desktop/genfile.desktop
   op ~/Desktop/genterm.desktop

   in all files change from "gensys-2301" to "gensys-2307"
   (directory "~" is your home directory i.e. "/home/gensys")
7. Log out and in again to make the change to take effect.
